Rancho La Cima is a small gated luxury community in Rancho Santa Fe, California that is known for its Mediterranean and Spanish style homes. Residents have spectacular views of the San Dieguito River Valley along with the valley and mountains.
Rancho La Cima is comprised of only 26 estates, the majority of which were built between 1998 and 2000. Most of the homes have 6,400 to 8,200 square feet of living space and the lots are at least two acres each. The Home Owners Association maintains the entrance and common area. Many of the homes also have their own privately gated entrances.
This neighborhood is served by the Rancho Santa Fe Elementary School District and the San Dieguito Union High School District. Students attend many high ranking facilities such as R. Roger Rowe Elementary, R. Roger Rowe Middle, and La Costa Canyon High School. There are a few private establishments in this city like the Horizon Christian Fellowship, The Rhoades School, and The Nativity School. Neighboring cities have schools like MiraCosta College and the University of California San Diego.
Rancho La Cima is just south of The Bridges of Rancho Santa Fe, a premier golfing community. The 18-hole par-71 private course was designed by the Robert Trent Jones II Group. It is also where top players once competed in the Battle at the Bridges. This club also offers tennis, fitness, and fine dining.
There are many restaurants, stores, and services to the south. Shopping centers include Del Rayo Village Shopping Center, and the West Village Shopping Center. Cielo Village is a shopping piazza that reflects an Old World charm with its outdoor dining and boutiques.
Rancho Santa Fe is a CDP made up of mostly residential areas with a few commercial areas and two schools. It was on the nation’s highest income list in 2010.
